Monster Grip Super Glue 50g - Single Pack
MONSTER GRIP is a fast-acting, solvent-free instant adhesive It triggers an instant chemical polymerization reaction when it comes into contact with ambient moisture or water molecules present on bonding surfaces. This creates an incredibly strong, rigid interlocking polymer chain matrix within seconds.
Technical Specifications • Appearance: Clear, colourless liquid or gel.
Cure Speed: Initial fixture in 5–30 seconds; full mechanical bond strength in 12–24 hours. • Temperature Resistance: Typically ranges from -40°C up to +120°C. • Shelf Life: 12–18 months when kept upright in cool, dry conditions.
Material Compatibility
• Recommended Substrates: Ideal for close-fitting, non-porous surfaces including metals, ceramics, porcelain, rubbers, wood, leather, cardboards, and most rigid plastics. • Prohibited Materials: Never use on soft fabrics like cotton or wool, as cyanoacrylate reacts exothermically with these fibres and can cause severe thermal burns. Do not use on items placed in ovens or microwaves.
Application Instructions
- Clean Surfaces: Substrates must be perfectly clean, degreased, dry, and tight-fitting.
- Moisture Prep: For extremely dry or porous materials, lightly dampening one surface can speed up cross-linking.
- Apply Sparingly: Apply exactly one drop per square inch to only one of the surfaces. A thin layer yields a significantly stronger, quicker bond than a thick puddle.
- Press Firmly: Join parts immediately and apply manual pressure for 30–60 seconds without moving the joint.
- Health, Safety, and First Aid • Skin Contact: Bonds skin in seconds. Do not pull or tear forced apart. Soak the affected area in warm, soapy water or use an acetone-based solvent to gently peel the skin layer apart. • Eye Contact: Causes serious eye irritation and can bond eyelids. Flush immediately with plenty of water for several minutes and seek urgent medical evaluation.
